The 4S-CL2 sensor is a constant potential electrolytic chlorine gas sensor. CL2 and O2 undergo corresponding oxidation-reduction reactions at the working electrode and counter electrode, releasing charges to form a current. The magnitude of the current is proportional to the concentration of H2S, and the concentration of chlorine gas can be determined by testing the magnitude of the current.
